With individualism you create independence, self-reliance and taking responsibility for your actions and their consequences. To be free you have to have the power to decide things for yourself, and take responsibility for your life, your actions, and your decisions. You cannot give that responsibility to someone else or the Government, and be free. You should have the freedom and the power to choose your own way and not have it decided for you by others who might think they know what is best for the collective or society, but not necessarily what is best for the individual. When only you know what is best for you inside yourself! So you have the power to become the best you can be. The power to be able to fulfill your own hopes and dreams for today and the future, that are not necessarily the collective’s or society's. Collectivism can only bring restrictions on individual attainment, creativity, and learning. Collectivism takes power and freedom away from the individual; and gives it to the collective or Government. To make everyone what they call equal they have to bring everyone down to the lowest common denominator, so no one seems better or brighter than anyone else, too dumb down society, to make everyone, or at least the majority dependent on Government, so Government or the collective, will have to take care of them. Also so society can be easily led, and indoctrinated by the collective’s ruling elite, into only one way of thinking, and doing things, so they will believe their propaganda and whatever they tell them. Collectivism centralizes and concentrates power and authority, which will not work, because "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" and we get tyranny over individuals and their lives. The only equality we can have in a free society is equal justice under the law, and equal laws, for every individual, no matter what race, or where they come from. With equal Rights and equal freedom for every individual, so they can become whatever their abilities and aspirations can create them. Why are people not taught in Government run schools the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights? Because we are told in these documents that we have certain inalienable Rights granted to us by our Creator, and not just by the Government, because what the Government gives the Government can take away, unless our Rights, Liberty and freedom are inalienably and unquestionably held as truth for all-time. We have to cherish these Rights and freedoms, and not let them be taken for-granted or from us, for now or ever. Collectivism can only bring dullness, conformity and stagnation to society. It also brings intolerances to anything new and different. Collectivism can only lead to the stagnation and/or death of a society or Government. Like the Soviet Union that fell apart and died, also because it was totalitarian, and as President Ronald Reagan said, " when freedom was given its people, it fell into the ash heap of history." China had to institute free market reforms, to make its economy grow and evolve. China had to give more freedom to individual entrepreneurs so its economy could grow and expand. Only with individualism can individuals excel in learning, spirituality, inventiveness, art, and self-growth, also to evolve economically and technologically. You must be willing to pay the price for the power of freedom and Liberty, to stay free and be forever free. You must give equal Rights, equal laws, equal justice and equal freedom to every individual, or no one can be truly free. You have to be forever vigilant, to stay free and be forever free, in the Freest Nation on Earth.
