Republicans and Democrats seem to be different sides of the same coin at times. They both want to use the power of government to enforce their morality or social ethics upon us, to legislate morality and/or behavior. The Democrats seem to think they can legislate away feelings like hate, intolerance, bigotry and stupidity, they can't. Democrats also seem to want to limit your speech; they have succeeded in the workplace with sexual harassment legislation, and trying to limit or ban certain speech that may offend minority groups under hate crimes legislation. Democrats also seem to want to limit all sorts of risks that we take with our bodies; they have done so with helmet laws, and with seatbelt laws. Liberals of the Democratic persuasion have even suggested putting extra taxes on fatty foods and beer; they also like handing out condoms and needles for free, paid for with our taxes. Democrats seem to want to save our bodies, and Republicans seem to want to save our souls, through legislation. Republicans have wanted laws against pornography and sexual entertainment, such as topless or nude dance clubs, I would suppose for men and women alike, and some seem to want to outlaw some sexual practices. Also Republicans seem to be more against gambling and other human weaknesses, which can also be seen as entertainment. Republicans also seem more ardent about condemning on moral grounds prostitution, although Democrat feminists see it as sexual exploitation of women and are against it also, as well as women in pornography and nude or topless dance clubs. Both Democrats and Republicans want to save us from drugs, and make criminals of the people who take and buy drugs. Just about all their arguments about what I have written above, and which the Democrats and Republicans have legislated, or would like to legislate, into law, on our behalf, to save us from ourselves, are all collectivist arguments, for the good of society, socialism, for the good of the community, communism. They both want to do it for the good of the collective, and not necessarily for the good or freedom of the individual. We have to beware of the corrupting nature of power, and its abuses, whether it's by one person or a majority of persons. None of their arguments take into respect individual freedom, individual liberty, individual choice, or our Right and freedom to say what we like, write what we like, create what we like, think what we like, and feel what we like, and the Right and Power of individuals to self-determination, to do whatever we like, with our own minds, bodies and soul's We have to have the Right as consenting adults to do whatever we want to do sexually or otherwise. We should only be locked up, and put in jail, if we violate other people's person, property, privacy or freedom. Children need to be protected and should be protected from all self-destructive influences; but not adults, adults should decide and choose for themselves. The fact is these laws don't save anyone, because they cannot make anyone moral or ethical, and no law can stopped anyone from hating or being a bigot. Only individually can we, and do we make those choices for ourselves, to be safe, to be moral, to be ethical, to stop hating, or to stop taking drugs or even to not be offensive. We have to be free to make our own choices and decisions, to live our lives as we so choose, to have free will, and the Right to self-determination over our own lives, minds, bodies and souls.
Instead of treating everybody equally as individuals, in a colorblind society, the government is giving special rights and protections to different races and classes of people. If you're going to have a hate crimes law it should apply to every individual equally, no matter what race, no matter where they come from, no matter what their beliefs are. Everyone should have equal protection and equal Rights under the law as individuals. Even though you cannot legislate away hate, or any other feelings for that matter. Hypocrisy and irony are clear on both sides of the isle in Congress, especially when it comes to the case of William Jefferson Clinton former President of the United States, in regards to Monica Lewinsky and the Paula Jones Sexual Harassment Lawsuit. The Democrats were up in arms, over Kenneth Starr, saying he was delving into personal and private sexual matters, that nobody should have to answer, violating the President's right to privacy. When it was not Kenneth Starr that made those questions possible, but Democratic Sexual Harassment Law, and the Paula Jones Sexual Harassment Lawsuit, that made all those personal private sexual questions, that nobody should have to answer possible. Instead of saying nobody on either side in a sexual harassment lawsuit, should have the right to ask about personal private sexual history, the Democrats made it possible so both sides could ask about personal private sexual history, in their sexual harassment legislation. The Democrats seem to be the ones to first pass legislation getting into our sexual privacy and bedrooms. The Republicans on the other hand always voted against sexual harassment legislation, apparently on the grounds of freedom of speech and other considerations. They seem to have become the biggest feminists you'd ever want to see, at least as far as Paula Jones was concerned, and all of a sudden, for sexual harassment law, because they thought they could get rid of President Clinton. Now neither side will reform sexual harassment legislation or law, because neither side wants to look like hypocrites, the Democrats for writing the law in the first place, that violates private personal sexual privacy, and the Republicans because they were for the Paula Jones sexual harassment lawsuit, and therefore for sexual harassment law, and getting into private and personal sexual matters and history, through sexual harassment law. I felt sorry for President William Jefferson Clinton, until I found out that in 1994, he signed sexual harassment legislation, that made it possible for those personal private sexual questions to be asked and his privacy violated. I no longer feel sorry for him being impeached; now I think he got Justice. Freedom of speech and the Right to privacy, are essential parts to our Democratically Elected Representative Constitutional Republic. You cannot legislate morality; you can only punish people for their transgressions, through laws and Government. We as individuals have to have free will, sovereignty, and autonomy, with the Right to self-determination over our own body’s, lives, minds and souls, to be individual and free. We should have the power to be free to live our lives as we so choose, to make our own choices, to go our own way, to be our own person, to write, create, Say, think, and feel what ever we like, to be individual and free, and not have to answer to Government, or the collective, or society, as long as we do not violate or hurt anyone else's person, property, privacy or freedom. We have to be willing to respect everyone's Rights and freedom equally as individuals, or no one can be truly free. We must be forever vigilant, to stay free, and be forever free, in the Freest Nation on Earth.
